Senior IT Workers on the Decline

According to a survey by AFCOM (Association For Computer Operations Management), there is a trending lack of senior IT employees for data center operations.


Nearly 50% of the survey respondents said it takes at least 3 months to fill senior-level technical and management positions, while 38% reported that their data centers employ fewer workers than they did five years ago. Additionally, the association estimates that the pool of available senior-level data center workers will decline by 45% by 2015.
